The Longitude Prize on Dementia welcomes applicants from anywhere

We encourage applicants across the globe who are willing to work with people affected by dementia. You can be an individual, part of an academic group, non-profit, company or as a partnership. The prize is open to new ways of working together, however applications must be made in English.

Eligibility requirements to enter

This section outlines the criteria by which entries will be assessed and judged throughout the challenge process. There is a set of eligibility requirements to enter that outlines who can apply to the Prize.

The eligibility requirements to enter is as follows:

  • The prize is open to individuals and academic groups, companies or non-profits, as well as partnerships between these.
  • The prize is open to innovators worldwide but entries must be in English.
  • Applicants must commit to co-designing their solutions with people living with dementia.
  • Applicants must commit to maintaining a high standard of data ethics.

Judging criteria

Our judges look for specific qualities and specifications when assessing applications. In the case of the Longitude Prize on Dementia, the judging criteria which must be integrated into an application are below split into four sections, followed by information about the assessment.

Assessment and judging process

After the deadline on 26 January 2023, all entries for Discovery Awards will be assessed against the eligibility and judging criteria by suitably qualified assessors. This information will be provided to the independent judging panel who will make recommendations of which entries should receive funding and advance through the Prize programme. 

Information you provide in your entry may be shared with our partners (including our judges, and any due diligence providers) for the purpose of administering the Prize.
