Helping people with dementia retain their independence
The Longitude Prize on Dementia is a £4.42 million prize
The Longitude Prize on Dementia will drive the creation of personalised, technology-based tools that are co-created with people living with the early stages of dementia, helping them live independent, more fulfilled lives so they are able to do the things they enjoy.
After a global search and entries from around the world, our five Finalists have now been selected! We are so excited to announce the teams that will continue developing and validating their solutions, for the chance to win the £1 million grand prize. Each Finalist team has been awarded a £300,000 grant to help further develop their solution over the next 15 months in readiness for final submission, ahead of the winner announcement in early 2026.
The final £1 million prize will be awarded to the creator of a breakthrough technology that will enable people living with dementia to continue living independently for longer.
